Maisie was running around in her local park, all time oblivious to her — since she was only little. She liked to run rather than play with the other children. Eventually she paused to catch her breath, flopping down onto the grass. It had been a long day.
After a while she got up and went to go find her parents. She toddled over to the bench where they were supposed to be, only to find they were gone. Her face scrunched up in puerile tears. Where’d they go? They said they’d be here!
Maisie ran, scared. She bumped into a person and grabbed onto the person’s shirt, crying, “I can’t find my mum!!”
